Getting started
How do I set up my farm?
After creating your account, tap Add Field. Name it (e.g. "North Pasture"), choose a field type, and trace the boundary on satellite. Repeat for each field, paddock, and orchard block. Then add animals and trees as needed — ten to fifteen minutes for most operations.
Do I need cell service to use Bield?
No. Bield is offline-first. Set up your farm at home on WiFi, then log in the field whether or not you have signal. Weather conditions backfill automatically when your device reconnects.
How many seasons before I see useful patterns?
Within a single season you'll see growth-rate ranking on livestock, harvest days-to-maturity on crops, and (always) profit per enterprise. Variety performance, breeding performance, paddock productivity, and personal frost dates need 2+ seasons. Confidence indicators tell you exactly how much data supports each pattern.
I have crop AND livestock AND an orchard — does Bield handle all three?
Yes. From day one. The Log tab has a domain selector across the top — Crop · Livestock · Orchard · Tasks · Finance — and remembers what you log most. Each domain has its own pattern engine; they share the same map and weather capture.
Financial tracking & profit per enterprise
How do I set up enterprises?
Settings → Enterprises → Add. Define each enterprise as a clean unit (e.g. "Tomatoes — High Tunnel," "Pastured Layers," "Apple Block"). Every income or expense you log gets tagged to one enterprise.
How are shared expenses allocated?
Shared expenses (insurance, fuel, general labor) can be allocated by acreage, by labor hours, or split manually. Bield defaults to acreage-weighted allocation; you can override per expense category.
Can I see year-over-year P&L?
Yes. Pro subscribers get multi-season comparison on every enterprise. You'll see whether each enterprise is improving, declining, or holding steady.
Subscription and billing
How do I cancel my subscription?
iOS: Settings app → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Bield: Farm → Cancel
Android: Google Play app → Account → Subscriptions → Bield: Farm → Cancel
Web: bieldfarm.com → Settings → Subscription → Cancel
Your data and Pro access remain until the end of your current billing period.
Can I get a refund?
For iOS: Apple handles refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com. For Android: Google handles refunds through the Play Store. For web: contact us within 14 days at support@bieldfarm.com.
Will my data be deleted if I cancel?
No. All plantings, harvests, animals, breedings, and finance records remain indefinitely. Pattern analysis and profit-per-enterprise lock until you resubscribe but nothing is deleted.
