Q.Pest & Weed Management
What is flea beetle damage in brassicas?
A.
Flea beetles chew small round holes in brassica leaves, giving plants a shothole appearance. Severe damage on young plants reduces growth and yield. Manage with floating row covers at transplant, kaolin clay sprays (Surround), neem-based products, and removing weedy hosts. Older plants often outgrow flea beetle pressure.
Crop calendar pages cover brassica timing.
