Q.Soybean Production
When should I plant soybeans?
A.
Plant soybeans when soil temperature reaches 55-60°F at 2-inch depth, with stable forecast ahead. In the Corn Belt that's typically early-to-mid May; in the Mid-South April; in the Deep South March. Earlier plantings (after corn) often produce highest yields if soil and weather cooperate.
Soybean calendar pages cover state-specific timing.
