Q.Land Management & Pasture
What is rotational grazing and how do I start it?
A.
Rotational grazing divides pasture into paddocks, moves cattle through them on a schedule, and rests each paddock between grazings. Even simple rotation (4-6 paddocks, 1-2 weeks each, 3-4 weeks rest) doubles forage yield over continuous grazing. Start by subdividing existing pasture with electric fence and moving cattle on a regular schedule.
