Q.Dairy & Homestead Animals
What goat breed produces the most milk?
A.
Saanens produce the highest volume — 1-2 gallons per day at peak. Alpines and Toggenburgs also produce well. Nubians produce less volume but higher butterfat. Nigerian Dwarfs produce small volumes (1-2 quarts/day) but higher butterfat than full-size breeds. Match breed to volume needs and butterfat goals.
